Doug mentioned this was an European car that was imported to the US. How exactly would that have worked given that the car is less than 25 years old?

Don’t think it would qualify for “show and display” rules either, given that a version of the car was officially sold in the US.

I’ve been to countries that have rules around importing cars that you personally owned in another country (e.g. if you were an expat somewhere and had a car there for 5 years, you’re allowed to bring it back with you)...the US doesn’t have a rule like that as far as I’m aware?
